When it’s hot outside and you’re wearing a t-shirt with a good sized print on the front it can be really uncomfortable if it wasn’t printed with a waterbased discharge print also known as direct to garment printing. There are several advantages to having a shirt that is printed using discharge ink. Some of those advantages include:

The ink changes the color of the cotton that it comes in contact with, instead of putting a layer of paint on the shirt.
Discharge shirts look like chic designer shirts that are being sold in boutiques and high end shops.
Discharge shirts are literally cooler. Since the ink changes the color of the fabric, the shirt can breath easier and helps keep you cooler when it’s hot.
Discharge shirts are softer. No more stiff, sticky ink on the front or back of your shirt.
Discharge shirts are more eco friendly. Since the ink is water based, it’s better for the environment.
Discharge printing doesn’t crack, fade or wash off over time.

So, next time you’re out looking at some fresh new clothes, pay attention to who the image was put onto that piece of clothing. If the image on the shirt feels rough and kind of stiff, you can be sure that it wasn’t screen printed with discharge ink. With shirts that have been printed using discharge, the image on the shirt doesn’t feel like it’s on top of the fabric, it feels like it’s part of the fabric. If you’re wanting some custom screen printing done on some t-shirts let us know and we can help you out.

Looking for the ways and means to go green? Here are some easy eco-friendly tips for you.

1. Don’t idle your car with your engine running.
2. Air dry your clothes.
3. Put a lid on the containers while cooking food.
4. Stop using air fresheners containing toxic chemicals.
5. Stop using plastic bottles and containers for storing water and food.

Now while the list of eco-friendly tips can actually go on and on; let me stop at this one and explain the most important way to contribute to the environment.

Do you know in US alone over 60 million plastic bottles are added to the landfills? Since these bottles are non-recyclable, their disposal is a difficult thing. They not only crowd the landfills but harm the environment too.

The impact is so huge that taking a small action of saying no to plastic bottles is acclaimed as the best way to go green.

Moreover, do you know that unlike other useful eco-friendly tips, this one is beneficial for your health too?

Here is how-

It is a proven fact that the water supplied to our homes is contaminated with pesticides, chlorine, virus, cysts and metal traces. Now, many people understand this fact and in order to save themselves from the health ailments caused due to consuming such water, they resort to bottled water.

The truth is that bottled water is nothing more than tap water packaged in a dangerous plastic bottle and slapped with a nice packaging.

The quality of the bottled water has always been mired in controversy. There have been examples where it has been proven to be nothing better than what we already get in our kitchen tap.

Moreover, the plastic used for storing this water is another culprit for contaminating the water contained within. This plastic actually leaches into the water and pollutes it. This water becomes unfit for consumption and hence bottled water is not recommended by most of the medical organizations.

Additionally, once the water has been consumed, there is always a problem of disposing the plastic bottle. They reach the landfills and pollute the environment.

Hence use of bottled water harms both – your health as well as the environment.

This is why out of all the eco-friendly tips; saying no to bottled water becomes an important one. But what is the solution in this case? If no tap water and no bottled water are to be consumed, what do we do?

Easy. Get a home water purifier installed. Make sure it is based on the cutting edge technologies of carbon filtration, ion exchange and sub micron filtration. Purify the water at your home and stop depending upon bottled one.

If you need more information on how to choose a good water purifier for your home, visit my website listed below. Use this one tip and ensure the benefits equal to using various eco-friendly tips.

hey guys – any and all feed back will be appreciated … although if you think dogs wearing clothes is ridiculous, you might not be able to provide the exact TYPE of feedback i’m looking for

So the question is, how much would you pay for a dog jacket like the one in my “yahoo people” profile picture? Keep in mind the products are eco-friendly and therefore slightly more expensive. The fabric is made in the US, and organic. Everything will be manufactured in the US so keep that in mind.

this is organic, fair trade, sweat-shop free!

thanks so much!

Biowashball is a unique product designed to get clothes clean without use of laundry powder or detergents. Instead of your usual laundry soap or liquid detergent, you place a non-toxic plastic ball in with your wash.

This flexible green sphere is filled with small round microballs made of natural ceramics. The small ceramic spheres change the pH of the water the same way your detergent does, but without harmful chemicals.

Because it is hypoallergenic (no detergent or fragrances) you can safely use Biowashball in any washing machine. It treats grease, organic and chemical stains effectively, getting your wash bright and clean without leaving residues or dumping harmful chemicals into the water. it helps reduce allergies and protects the environment.

I first heard about Biowashball from a friend who prefers eco- friendly products. She began using it because it has no phosphates to pollute groundwater and harm the environment.

She recommended Biowashball because I’d been concerned about the residue my laundry detergent was leaving in my clothes. This was irritating my skin and my allergies were getting worse. But I was skeptical. How could you get clothes clean without soap or detergent?

The first load of wash convinced me. Biowashball left the clothes and sheets smelling clean and fresh, with no left-in residue that could cause irritation and allergy symptoms. Not only that, I was saving money. Instead of dumping more powder or liquid in with each wash, you just re-use the same bio wash ball.

Maybe you feel like I did, constantly using up your supplies and then having to go out and buy more laundry powder or detergent, bleach and fabric softeners. But you can forget all that with Biowashball, you just add the ball to each wash and let it go to work. It’s good for up to three years of laundry, and you can save up to $500 a year.

After I found out how great this product was, I went to http://www.products.naturalcleaneronline.com and picked up another Biowashball for my son. He’s transferring from community college to an out-of-state school and won’t be able to come home weekends to do his laundry.

I have my own washer and dryer. But for students, travelers, and people who use laundromats or apartment complex machines, Biowashball is really a dream come true. They can trade heavy, bulky detergent, bleach and fabric softeners for one little ball that keeps their wash clean, saves them lots of money, and is good for the environment too.

They know about it in Europe and Asia, but it’s new in the United States.
